    Hi all

Hello my name is Josh and I am new to this site and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am currently in the market for a new ride and I am going back and forth between the Evo and the Sti. I may have to go with the Sti by default cause mitsu is not making the evo in 07 until the new X comes out. But I am still going back and forth and trying to get as much info as possible before I make my choice. The site looks great and I hope to learn from you all as much as I can. Later

    Welcome to the site.

Everyone has their own opinion on the sti vs evo debate, but I think the important thing to remember is that which ever way you go, you get a badass car.

    Greetings and welcome Josh!

Both great cars. The STi is a better daily driver, the Evo has a slight performance edge with tighter handling.

    and welcome to The Club!!!!

Both the Evo and STI are very comparable cars and have great performance, handling, and looks. When it comes to the STI vs. Evo, the best suggestion is to test drive both and see which one 'speaks' to you more.

    Good luck!

Thanks guys and girl, and yes I have heard late 07 early 08, but its all heresay. Also one thing that concerns me is the new powerplant in the evo X. No more 4G63, but who knows. No one will know for sure how good or how bad its going to be until it gets here. I have driven the Sti and its not bad at all. I am still waiting to test drive an evo, but if I can't get the color I want (Electric Blue IX with SSL, do not want an MR cause I like my sunroof) then its going to be a blue Sti until the X gets here. But like you all said either way they both will be a hoot to drive. Later

welcome to the club. I test drove a Evo before I bought the WRX and like everybody else says pretty darn close on both. All comes down to the driver between the two. My two cents; if you want a good daily driver to mod then go WRx. Smoother ride, to me it almost felt like the Evo had coilovers(cheap coilovers at that).
