    Decision Maker..

So I am looking at a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Silver with a few mods.

Turboback catless w. up and down pipe
    Stage 3 clutch
    HKS BOV
    Apex-i R/Type Boost control
    K&N Cold air intake
    STi spoiler

The car has 107K on it (Commuter, 4 owners) and he's asking $12,900 which is almost $1,000 below KBB (I'm going to ask him to lower it since it's a stage 3 clutch and stock tranny)

Good idea? Or no. I'm torn.

in my opinion thats awfully high for a car that I'm 99% has been used and abused. 1st off if it's a true "stage 3" than it's most likely put too much strain on that tranny. From what I understand, the wrx's were designed so the clutch took strain off of the tranny. Therefore a stiffer clutch puts too much strain on the transmission. On top of that based on the mods listed (such as the boost controller), the owners most likely treated the car like a 40 yr. old prostitute.

If you can't get it for less than $5000, I'd run. Fast.

Hahahaha good to know! The entire deal was shady but I thought I may get another opinion.

On the bright side, the shifting was surprisingly smooth..

    But, I will keep looking!
