New to Turbo scene..just got my 2004 modded.

    Bout a 2004 Subaru WRX w/ 30K miles

    Came w/
    -COBB Access-Port
    -Blitz Turbo Timer
    -Greddy Type S BOV
    -AEM Cold Air Intake
    -Some Downpipe
    -Some Custom 3" Exhaust
    -and maybe a upgraded Turbo..

Car pulls hard and I like it.. I love this car, Tech said if I change the uppipe I'd have alot more power..Im guessing thats cause that the only piping left to upgrade?..

and what other mods can I do to gain more power?, Upgrade Intercooler?

I'll get pics soon, so I can figure out what kinda Turbo and Piping I've got on.

    Thanks guys!!

    Greddy Type S BOV
    COBB Access Port
Helix DP w/ 3" Custom Exhaust.

To gain more power get rid of the Cold air intake, and the blow off valve. Did the car have a protune, and is it a turbo upgrade or not?

Install the stock intake and the answer is yes it will make you lose power. My guess is that you have the cobb stage 2 map. If you go to cobb's website and read the map notes it will say for use with the stock intake only.

The bov will also cause you car to run really rich inbetween shifts.
Here is a personal recent testimony:

Otherwise congrats on the car. Find out if it has an aftermarket turbo and otherwise.

you can put your car in the on position and plug the ap in and go through it and see what map your running, and the ecu does need the stock airbox

incorrect, there a number of short ram intakes on the market now that cause no problems for the ECU. It would probably be easier to get one of those than find the whole intake system used from someone in good condition.

get rid of the CAI (it will be easy to sell) and get a short ram. Its much easier to install too than the stock system with the snorkel.

The BOV is up to you. some people run them and some dont. It will cause you to run rich between shifts and get worse MPG and some people report rough idles and hesitation under load.

the up pipe has a cat in it, if you swap it for a catless, your turbo will spool significantly faster.

Lose those mods in your sig (besides the cobb and the STi wing) Get your hands on a stock airbox or maybe an SPT(what I have) ir maybe a cobb intake.

Welcome, and check on that turbo.

    right

1 thing. Do what makes u happy. The short ram is great. I have it and haven't had any probs. U gotta try work works on your car. Not every car is the same. If u dump $10,000 in there and your baby momma's cousins boyfriend dumped the same amout and u guys buy the same crap doesn't mean u gonna get the same hp. U gotta see what works for u. Simple, just make sure it works and sticks and constatly monitor it.

+1 on that--- have the Cobb short ram. I picked it up for like $80 used. It will be way easier to isntall and maintain than the stock unit. Plus I imagine it would be easier to find.

not stock, not sure what make.... but looks like invidia/helix design. Turbo is stock, though.

You also don't have the OEM heatshield on there, I'd pick one up or get an aftermarket one for peace of mind.
