About to buy an STi

Hey guys im new and just found this site and I love the info and stories u guys share! Im about to buy an 06 Sti but im stuck on what color to get!! haha oh man they look so sweet in black and in white Oh wells either color will prob do huh?? I test drove a few cars on my list as to the Mustang GT and Evo but I fell in love with the Subie! I'll be part of the family real soon

I love the black but it's a PITA to keep clean.

Agreed Black and White are both beautiful. Depends on where you live though as well. Black gets way too hot here in Texas for my liking. White is the opposite, and its the most clean, pure color. Some say white looks the best on these cars, and I almost tend to agree. Especially with the 06 design. It really brings out the best in the cars shape and front end.

For the non-STi's, I prefer the WR lue, but for some reason the STi's in white just seem to do it for me.

Yeah im not too fond of the new front look at first but its starting to grow on me! I live in El Cajon in CA right now with some room mates and going to school. It gets very hot and dusty in the summer cause its in a valley. Plus I don't have a garage cause its filled with me and my roomies motorcycles and an 180g saltwater fish tank! I feel like paying more for my rent just to have the garage for myself and kick all the bikes outside!

So im prob better off in the white until I move out but at the dealers down here all the whites are gone except for the Limited Edition STi in the show room. Well I'll see what I can do and if I do get black i'll have to get them to throw in a car cover for me or no deal heh!

Anyone have any insite or anything I should know before buying an STi?? Like pricing and extras I should get them to throw in??

I'm a huge fan of black '06's! But the aspen white ones are pretty sexy too! Damn, hard choice!!!! But either way, it's still an STI...

Personally, I love the way black looks. If given a choice, I think I will always choose black despite the maintenance. However, I just got rid of my 97 Mustang GT, black, and it was a real pain to keep looking sharp. I washed it about once a week and it still was difficult to keep clean (here in PA).

My second choice is the metallic gray; It's possible I'm biased now. Nothing catches your eye like the WRC blue. I can always spot a blue Rex froma a mile away and they look awesome! (third choice)

I had my eyes set on a white 06 sti. I went to the dealer to go see it and left the lot with a Black STI. Something about how all the black trim and molding just came together with the paint.

Good luck getting the STi, both white and black look amazing, I wish I could have found a white STi but the black has grown on me so much that I like it almost as much as the white
