Finally got me my 1st Impreza

So I have been a member of ClubWRX for a few months now and after 3-4 months of research and patience I finally bought a Black 2006 TR. I must say after driving it on open road I must say I think I made a great choice . The car is so quiet with the new 2.5 liter engine that I found myself checkin the gauges to see if the car was still on at stop lights. Not bad I must say for a turbo car. It is also hard to stay under the 4k mark in the rpmscuz as soon as 3k hits you can feel everything coming alive under the hood. My only 2 complaints about the car is that the ride is a bit bumpy and Subaru could have equipped the car with a manlier horn. LoL , Let the modding begin

I agree that the ride is a little harsh for the cars handling ability (or lack there of). Being thrown around as much as I am I would like to atleast have a good handling car.

Congrats on the car and horn does blow.

In regards to the horn I have considered getting a horn from hornblasters.com , seriously. If you havent checked them out you should: Hornblasters. com . They have some videos so you can check out their horns.

I have never used or even heard the horn of any of the 3 cars I have owned. I believe that using the horn only causes more problems unless its to get someones attention to the road if their day dreaming.

Think about it...what happens when you honk the horn...everyone around you gets mad and either flicks you off or honks back. I prefer to keep my road rage inside and yell at my music. Although normally I am a very pacient person in the car.

Oh and welcome to the club!

If my car was white I could of called it the stay Puff Marshmallow rex. In regards to aftermarket susppension I was gonna ask you how the ride was because if its this bumpy now I cant even imagine with some Cobbs or Teins.

Yea i have the Eibach Pro Kit (1.3" front, 1" rear) and it gives a great drop, leaves space in the wheel well for snow and they are progressive so they give like the stockers and work w/ stock struts. However, if the road is cr@p, then it does get bouncy. But if the roads are nice the car is great and handles great (add a Cusco Rear Sway bar for even better handling!)

It is hard enough to shift and engage the clutch smoothly in the rex on a bumpy road. Any harder and I would destroy my tranny.

So my 60mph through a 20mph curve without moving an inch out of line on the pavement has no translation to a a 'good handling' car.
