Got a brand new 06 Black TR

Car has a spoiler and Momo shift knob on it (on the car, not by choice). Negotiated and got it for $22,000. Tried to get a non TR WRX for $23,250, but they wouldn't budge, which is odd because the non TR is only $500 more than a TR. Guess they want to move the TRs.

I haven't taken delivery, dealership closed at 9 and was there until about 9:30. It wasn't even PDI'd, had the plastic on it and everything. Therefore, I'll be taking delivery tomorrow night.

Glad to finally be here in the truest sense.

congrats man I am sure you are ecstatic. I would be I know my next subie will be brand new. Right now I am a month in to my wrx wagon ownership and I love every minute of it. Having this site makes things alot less stressful cause when I get worried about stuff I can come here and find out it is normal. Being my first awd car still getting used to it as well as it being a scooby all together I am getting used to it cause I have never driven or owned a subie before I bought one. Has it's quirks but it is a solid car nonetheless. Just a little different than most, seeing as not many other cars use subies powertrain design.

I agree! I've been a regular on S2ki.com for a long, long time craving that Honda S2000. But I couldn't afford it, so I got a WRX. Not a bad consolation, I think

It's great hearing how they have issues with their cars and others in the community can speak on their experiences with regards to those issues as well. Now I finally have a brand new car to share the life with.

AWD is new to me, too. I really wanted RWD, but alright. Hope to learn how to properly drive an AWD car.

awd is way better for daily driver especially if you live in the midwest or any other area that gets alot of ****ty weather. My buddy has an s2000 it is a great car and he loves it but it is his summer car for a reason. It would not stand up in the winter and besides why mess up a nice s2000 in the winter when the subie is much better at weathering it.

Great choice. My friend got a 05 S2000 when i got my WRX and let me tell you I prefer the WRX now.

The convertible aspect is nice but the lack of a backseat and trunk space means I have to drive us whenever we want to go anywhere w/ the girlfriends. And you are in NJ, just wait till the 1st snow fall when you drive out of a parking space w/o even thinking about. Everyone else will be getting pushed (be sure to help them out LOL).

It's definitely not better than an S2000. If you even wanted to make the comparison, you'd have to use an STI to be in the same ballpark. But it's definitely not a bad consolation car, I must admit.

Huh? In terms of what? Price tag?

Go race your friend at the drag strip, see who wins. Go mod your cars, see who puts out better #s. Go on vacation, see who can pack more. Drive to work in February, see who has an easier time getting there in the snow.

[hint: WRX wins all of those categories]
