I wish my turbo whined a bit more. (It is just one of those things you can say about your car and not about your gf)

    Welcome to the club!

I joined one of the SS forums when the cars first started appearing (since at the time I was a salesman at a Chevy/Subaru store, and if nothing else wanted to learn a little more about the product). I really think they're a nice combination, and the few times I got to drive around in some of the ones we had on the lot I really enjoyed them. If I was looking for a fwd car, the Cobalt SS Supercharged would have been one of my top contenders!

It's too bad that there's only a few running around in my neck of the woods... It's a real drought when it comes to performance cars where I'm at. It was actually surprising that yesterday I saw both an STI and two WRXs!
"The way a press launch for a new car works is, a car manufacturer flies a group of automotive journalists to a nice location, pays their expenses, wines and dines them for several days, and lets them drive the new car all over the place. Then they go home and write objective stories."

Beat me to it. I used to love the sound that my VF34 made with my sedan's catless setup.

    and welcome to The Club!!!!

As you'll notice in time, many of our most prominent posters don't own subies, but we try to respect all enthusiasts.

Definitely post up some pics of your cobalt!

Im a memeber at Cobaltss . net and and a proud member of Rocky Mountain Ecotec.

Ive always respected WRX's and STI's. A few of my friends have WRX's and STI's in various states of fastness and I decided to join your site and learn, that is if I'm welcome.

Ive read a few posts and really liked what i saw. If anyone has any questions on Cobalts in general Id be glad to help and i look forward to learning more about your cars.
we could use more know-how on this car. the cobalt SS is one of the only boosted sport compact cars where i still have no idea what it can do, what it can't do, etc. opinions seem to be all across the board.

I think everyone's very interested to see how it can respond to mods to improve its handling, dragstrip times, etc., in the same way that it's interesting to see how basic mods improve the Evo, SRT-4, our cars, and so on. I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of your interior, and your opinion about the fit and finish.
