haha..you guys seem like a cool bunch.

Cliffordbg, can you elaborate on your tranny and clutch problem?? were they warranty items?

also, are maintenance costs reasonable? I know some cars are cheaper than others for parts/labor. I'd like to see where the wrx lies on the spectrum. I've maintained my own car since i've been driving, but time seems to be of the essence nowadays :P

Also, what do you guys think of the gc8? That's my favorite body style, but most have pretty high mileage and cost a bit less than the newer model with more power.

Yes they were warranty items. Replaced the tranny with a used one with only 20k+ mileage on it and my car has 68k miles. No grinding in first at all.

I have had my 2003 WRB WRX for 3 months and 6,000 miles now and I love it. I replaced some things as soon as I got the car though. It had a cold air intake on it so I bought a stock air box and put it back on. If you read in here you will see what is good and bad for you car.

I love the movie Waiting. I was a waiter for 7 years and that movie os so dead on with the stuff that goes on in restaurants. Especially the partying every night after work.
