    New '06 WRX Wagon

I just picked up my new 2006 WRX Wagon Limited. I have attached a few pics, and thought I would say "Hi". I ended up getting Crystal Gray Metallic, because they were out of Steel Gray in the Limited. This is my first manual, as well as my first new car.

Great choice on getting a wag. Hows the manual tranny treating you?

The stick has been fairly lenient with me. I am still a little nervous about getting the car into first on an incline, so I have intentionally changed some of my routes for the time being. All in all, it is a great car.

Nothing, Im pretty sure that third pedal is just there for decoration. Well I need mine to start the car and thats it. I think I heard once about the olden days, this third pedal was used to clutch something? No really positive how you would use it.

I have also been having horrible transmission problems, can anyone help? Whenever I shift gears it makes this loud buzzing sound and I really have to slam it into the gear to get it to go. Is that normal? I only have 400 miles on the car.

Enjoy your new car, I sure as hell have been enjoying mine. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I went to install a fuel kill switch last night, and there are 6 wires going into the fuel pump. Anyone have an idea which wire is the +12V feed? I understand this is a touchy subject, so please PM me which wire it is if you feel comfortable doing so. Stupid NJ thiefs...

Ok, so that's how you start the car. That is good to know. The car was in neutral when I got it, and I have been getting a neighbor to push me to work everyday.

So I'm guessing your neighbors car doesn't have enough torque to push you up the hills?

Yeah, it is just a 4-cylinder S-10, I am not sure if it would handle the hills.

Congrats, that's one sweet ride. Go WAGONS!!!

As for the "first manual car" fact, take it slow and do not frustrate yourself. WRX is in fact a tough one to learn how to drive a stick shift. But I bet you'll master it soon and conquer all those uphills with ease.

Haha I got Steel Grey loser! Just kidding, the car looks sweet and I am jealous of your limited package, the leather is frickin sweet on those. Good luck with the manual and don't let it intimidate you to much

Thanks, I really do like my new wagon. I noticed one strange thing. There is an opening above the license plate area on the rear bumper, the license plate lights are located here. You can actually see inside the bumper, and see the bumper's styrofoam. I assume that this is how WRX's are built, it just seemed strange.
