    Lightbulb New here, few questions

Hi I just got into subaru's after searching around for cars, and learning about subarus ive been drawn into them by there unique designs. One thing ive learned so far, search button helps!!!!

EDIT:: I do have one question, Ive read about the exhausts, and people say the exhaust has 1 cat? these cars have 2? and if they can get away with having 1? as far as i was concerned all you needed was 1

Stock 02-05 WRX have 3 cats. 1 in up pipe 1 in down pipe and 1 in mid pipe.
Stock 04-06 STi and 06 WRX have 2 cats. 1 in down pipe and 1 in mid pipe.

Most after market down pipes you see replace both the down pipe and mid pipe. So if your getting a dp with a high flow cat then you are swapping those two cats for one.

the cats aren't that bad. most of the power loss comes from the design of the flange that connects the downpipe to the turbo. you could replace the OEM flange with a bellmouth, keep all 3 cats, and STILL get most of the gains. However, such a mod does not exist.

the closest you can get is get the APS cast iron bellmouth downpipe inlet, cut off the flange on the OEM downpipe and weld it to the APS inlet. this would be pretty expensive.
