I agree with some sort of lowering springs cause our cars look like monster trucks, but if you have a broken back so it might not be the best thing in the world. I would get the EM first though.

My answer to your queston of what else you should do was going to be, get a manual transmission.

In that case, it seems very justifiable. But if you have a bad back, wouldn't a stiff suspension (such as the WRX's) wreak havoc on it as well?

I was kinda expecting that. How much faster in 0-60 would a stick be?
A bunch. A minimum of 2 seconds 0 - 60. Just trying to launch an auto is difficult; cannot simply rev the motor into the powerband and walk out the clutch. From a roll on and a few mods, you most likely could keep up with 5 speeds. Congrats on the car.
By the way, what branch of service?
