Really? Everything I've read says Escort 8500 X50 or Bel RX65. $300 and the Escort is mine, so I may just go that route.

Oh, and keeping this under 4000 RPMs is the hardest thing ever. You can't punch the gas without rocketing to 5000+, so i'm being gentle ... A few trips to Foxwoods and I should be good to go.

holy shiny sti , You might want to invest in a clear bra to keep your front end looking like new. Also go for the escort 8500 x50 its cheaper and works just as good. .

Get the detector/laser jammer from the dealer...it's only $1900! The dealership tried to sell me a kit that came with 2 laser defusers that were in the front and back and a built in radar detector for $1900.

Also in the manual it states these 4 things. (oh great I'm a manual nerd )

*do not allow the engine speed to exceed 4000 rpm's
*do not drive at one constant engine or vehicle speed for a long time, either fast or slow
*avoid starting suddenly and rapid acceleration
*avoid hard braking

I don't know about the random high reving thing but as long as you follow the manual how could something go wrong? (and if something does go wrong, complain that their manual sucks and needs to be rewriten...ALL OF IT... )

Heh. I've been a hold'em player before the days of Moneymaker and the hysteria surrounding poker. Mohegan closed their poker room. An "average" trip to the 'Woods (based on the records I keep) pays for 1/2 of my montly STi payment.
