IMHO I would not get a intake. It also can harm your car.

Engine Management is basically tuning, such as Cobb, Utec, or Ecutek.

Well your car has a chip inside of it that tells it how to run and what kind of boost to put out and so on and so forth. Well when you get EM it tells it to push more boost, Ect. Ect.

He said a short-ram intake. A short-ram intake is different than a CAI and is perfectly fine for his STi.

I just scanned the post, I just saw intake and got up on my soapbox.

I really need to start reading the posts.

APS out of Australia makes some pretty nice stuff and I have their shorty Pod intake on my car. My local performance shop that did my ECUtek reflash and dyno-tuning says very negative things about cold air intakes unless you have a drastcally upgraded fuel system and an aftermarket turbo. Detonation is bad. Also, a blow off valve is completely worthless unless you are running 20 psi or over, and even then, there are better ways to spend $200 bucks. Like nudie magazines or sausage links.
    I drive a WRX and work for Harley-Davidson .
