Former 3rd gen Rx-7 driver here...trying to find the right STi...

Hey everyone, i'm new to these forums. Currently trying to find the right '04-'05 STi...think I might have found it too. This weekend I'm heading to check out a beautiful silver '05 STi just north of my area.

I'm a former FD3S owner. Had a '94 Rx-7 touring with light mods. After I sold it, I was looking for another for awhile, but it seems they're all wrecked, abused, or worn out... My next choice was the STi for a number of obvious reasons.

Anyway, I'm 21 years old and going into my 4th year of college now. I own an aerial photography business here in Florida and I previously worked as a writer/photographer for a few of car magazines (Makes & Models Magazine out of Tampa, FL and S3 Magazine out of Royal Oak, MI to name some).

Hopefully I'll be posting some photos of my STi soon...when I find the right one! But for now, here are some photos of my old car...the '94 Rx-7.

That's a very nice looking FD, good luck with your STi hunt. Although I would find it hard to pick between that FD and an STi

FD's are one of the sexiest cars made, definitely the sexiest car you can find for the price. Some of my friends are big time rotary freaks, but the reliability thing always turned me off. Anyways, I hope you like your STi... if you can handle the quirks of a rotary, you can handle the quirks of a Subaru.

Awesome dude. I too came from an fd. Yours looks nicer, but here is mine before it was sold on Ebay.

Welcome the the club...you will enjoy the ride and reliability of a subaru.

    Oh yeah, the mods were
PFS street port motor (intake and exhaust)
    T71 turbo
    Custom Vmount IC
    Apexi Power FC + Commander
    1600cc secondary injectors
    850cc primary injectors
    Port matched intake manifold
    4" Vband DP
    3.5" exhaust
    Walbro 255 pump
    Aeromotive FPR rising rate
PPP Gaskets (kind of like Hondata only for the rotary)
Act Stg 2 organic street clutch
    RB light flywheel.
    Tein HA coilovers
Brembo drill slot rotors hawk pads

There was more. I was more go than show. The only reason I got that hood is because it worked well with my v mount.

All that FD needed is the 20B in my garage..

An STi is just insane quick.

    Welcome..

Yep, the 20b was on my mod list, had I stuck with the rx7. I just figured if a two rotor engine was this quirky, then a 3 rotor must be hell.
