Ok i've been a nissan guy all my life and now my girlfriend is buying an 04 wrx. I just wanted to know what pro's and con's there are with the 04's.

I test drove this wrx and went up through the gears. Is the tranny supposed to have a whining sound or be louder than other car makes, I.E. 240's, celica's. etc. etc. etc.

Pro's:

Reliable
Relatively inexpensive
Pretty quick stock
Easily moddable
AWD
Handles well stock
Boxer rumble!
HOOD SCOOP (gets bigger over the years)


Cons:

Supposed crappy transmission (gets better over the years)
poor gas milage
negative police attention
high insurance
lack of luxury
road noise
turbo lag?

i personaly believe that belongs in the pros police rarely look at me in my wingless 03 especialy compared to when i had my gsx i was gettin pulled over constantly even stage two with an angled fruit cannon i get left alone....
