hey I was replying to your other thread but it just disappeared. Im in florida so I this wasnt against you, but I ran against a stock Z once and I am stage 2 and the results were pretty similar. I shut down around 60 so I didnt give him a chacne to catch up to me, but Im sure if we would have kept going he would ahve started to creep up like you did. Stage 2 is basically a downpipe (people usually have a full turboback exhaust though) and a new map specifcally for that setup. He probably had a similar setup.
thanks, I'll get some pics when i get home.
Basically, caught a light with a wrx. We both rev our cars up a bit, and I knew it was on.
I spun 1st and a little bit of 2nd gear, but by this time the wrx was 2-3 lengths ahead of me, and holding. I started inching on him as the speeds increased.
The wrx sounded like it had some mods, definitley exhaust, i dont know what else.
I am completley stock.
I figured I'd keep all my BS in one thread.

I own a 2002 WRX and a 2005 350Z
Sounds great right - yeah, it is. But my jobs laying me off in June, and I've got car payments that I'm too far upside down on to get out of. Still, each time a light turns green, I still get a little grin.
To me, the 350Z is a beautiful car, but the WRX is effectively the better car. More room, better visibility, has a backseat(), "the beauty of all-wheel-drive", and cops don't follow me around like they do with the Nissan. Don't get me wrong - if it's a beautiful day, and I've got the day off, more often than not, I'm driving the Z. But for everything else, I'm in the Subaru.
Torch Red 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 46k mi.
Black 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX 6-speed 94k mi. my mod list

Welcome! I'm definitely looking forward to those pics.
I used to own a '90 300ZX TT and I'm tossing around the idea of picking up a 350Z as a second car once my WRX is paid off - especially once Nissan comes out with the 2nd gen VQ engine. Definitely one hot car!!!!![]()
