New Rex Wagon Owner has some questions

    Hi All,
I'm a VW enthusiast by birth, but I have recently branched out to Subies and had some basic questions.

I have always used Mobil 1 synth in my VW's should I be doing the same in my WRX wagon? I assume so, but you know what "they" say about assuming.

I have to change the brake pads on my car. What is a good brand to use? I usually drive my car with lots of "spirit" shall we say so I want something that'll "keep up" if you know what I mean.

I usually use ATE Super Blue brake fluid in my VW's is this a good choice for Subie's?

That's all I can think of right now. If there is something pressing that I have not thought of, please let me know what it is and what to do about it. Thanks for your time.

    and welcome to The Club!!!!

    1. Once you go synthetic, you can't go back to regular, but I recommend synthetic anyway!

    2. Well unless you have or are planning some brake upgrades, the Subaru stock pads are more-than adequate so I'd just replace those. But if you are set on getting some performance pads to look cool , I'd recommend Hawk Performance pads.

    3. I don't have any brake fluids to recommend.

Oh, and post up some pics of your subie!
