    so i sort of know how to drive stick. i want to buy a rex but i think the insurance would kill me. so i was thinking about a RS. is it hard to learn on either? RS still an awsome car?( if i cant get a rex)

    I've always liked the older 2.5 rs (03 and earlier). Before the WRX, the 2.5 was Subaru's sports car......so if I was gonna get one I'd get a 99-01....plus they're like 10 grand.
    I could be wrong........but....160 hp +/-........0-60 in like 7+ seconds.

    i don't think its hard to learn on the rex... i think it would be easier since the clutch play is much better than other cars. i learned on a protege5 and the clutch was deep and 'gripped' so close to the 'fully depressed' state. the rex is shorter and its gripping point is much more predictable. that being said though, i still think it's a better idea to learn on another car, just so mistakes are not at the expense of a sweet tranny heh. maybe it won't be so hard on the tranny/clutch since you sorta know how to drive stick already.

    my only problen w/ driveign stick is once in a while ill stall comeing out of 1st, but once i get going i'm good. maby ill pratice in my friends geo( )

    Don't let it bother you.
    I still stall time to time when I'm not carefull...

    Just practice and get a feel of the clutch meet point.
    You shouldn't have any problem driving Rex!!

    If I learned to drive stick, ANYONE can!!!

    Trust me, you'll regret it if you don't drive stick. Besides, being able to drive a manual looks good on your resume. lol
