    Just saying Hi!

I bought my 03 WRX on Thursday evening. I wasn't even looking for a new car but when I saw and drove it I had to have it. I traded my 1999 Acura Integra LS. It was getting up there ini mileage and it was too small for me to get my 4 month old into the back. I was planning on keeping it another year but the WRX looked and drove so good, I figured what the hell. I am really liking this board so far and have learned some things allready. I do want to know if anyone knows where I can get a stock airbox setup for cheap. The owner before put on the SPT cat-back and a CAI. I don't have any CEL's yet but just want to avoid any problems since I want to keep this car for a long while. Anyway thanks in advance guys for all the help I am sure this board is going to give me.

    Greetings and welcome!

Good to see you have the right idea with the ditching the CAI.

    and welcome to The Club!!!!

As for getting your hands on a stock airbox, you'll probably have to get it off http://www.subaruparts.com or a similar site, but I'd also check on nasioc.com because you never know what parts they're pulling off their cars over there!

Thanks for your warm greetings. I am going to try and find a stock intake box on e-bay cause I think the dealer is going to rape me for a brand new one. untill I find one I was going to just make the CAI a short ram but I see that they can be worse. What do you all suggest I should do as a temporary "fix". Maybe move the filter more up in the fender?

    Update

Well just to let you guys(and girls) know I found my stock air box on here. I also bought a GT Moto "big" MAF tube because the stock box i bought didn't have that. I also got a godspeed DP and a Perrin intercooler hose kit. The car runs much stronger than when I bought it. Next I need to install my gutted UP. Anyone near South Central PA want to help with that? I have allready learned so much on here and learn more everyday. Thanks for all the help!
