06 stage 4 possibilities?

Ok so im running like a custom put together turboback exhaust. i just ordered the Cobb AP for my 06 wrx, and ill finally be at stage 2!!!
now my questions are what sort of setup should i get to move on to newer stage ugrades and what sort of gains should i see with the following upgrades. Im still kinda new on these stage upgrades and i need to get some professionals POV before i do anything else.


Stage 3:
Catback + DP
UTEC(or im guessing AP is good)
FMIC
Intake

Stage 4:
Catback + DP
UTEC(or im guessing AP is good)
FMIC
Intake
Fuel Pump
Injectors
Turbo.

I think that the utec stages follow Cobb stages meaning what you have listed as stg 3 is really stg 2. I wouldnt recommend a FMIC for the stock turbo. It's not needed and will increase lag a bit.

After going stage 2 if you get tired of the stock turbo I'd recommend getting a 20g turbo, walbro f/p, upgrade your injectors, and either get a FMIC or a larger TMIC. The 20g is probaly the best turbo for your car IMHO in regards to power and lag. Good luck .

i thought stage 2 for the 06's is turboback exhaust and AP, for cobb.....
along with the other mods it would be stage 3 after that

Each brand has its own specific stages. Cobb stage 2 isn't the same as Turboxs stage 2. The numbers really don't matter though. I also would advise against the FMIC on the stock turbine, you're really just creating lag. If/when you swap your turbo that would be the time to get a new intercooler.

so i could get the other stuff in stage 3 after i get my AP and just call my setup stage 3 but not cobb stage 3 right

TD04 - same turbo, just less psi due to the larger displacement.

I thought stage 3 for the 2006 was TMIC upgrade, VF 39 or 18G (TD06 I think), and the appropriate COBB map.

ok ok i think i got it, sorry if i sound kinda new at this cuz i am.

i still dont understand why cobbs stage 2.5 is so close to a stage 4, just missing a top mount...

so whats next for my mods are:

injectors,
turbo,
and front mount...

if i do it in that order than i can skip the TMIC and just get a FMIC, aftrer the turbo upgrade and ill be at stage 4 right?

You should really do it all at once. Turbo + intercooler + injectors + fuel pump. Minus the fuel pump if you're sticking with Cobb.

And unless you are going 20g or bigger you don't need the injectors and with a 20g you only really need them if you are having it tuned aggresively. And +1 on doing it all at the same time so you only need one tune.
