    Not a new member but...

I just upgraded to an 05 OBP STi. The car is amazing and.....I'm in love.

The previous owner was a woman who drove it as a daily driver to make her husband happy. He drives an EVO VIII MR and they had to sell the STi because she got pregnant. She now drives an M5 The car was in immaculate condition, its like it has never been driven.

After I decided to buy the car he was like, "Wanna drive the EVO?" I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly at first, then it clicked. I had a big smile on my face and said, "sure!" I jumped in that thing lickety split. The MR was insanely fast, but not enough anemeties (sp?) for me.

I love the STi, the amount of torque is amazing, and with the short shifter changing gears is very quick. I can't wait to get this thing into the mountains; driving safely of course!

I don't understand what getting pregnant has to do with selling an STi. Not like she got a minivan. She got an M5.

Nice car either way, but did they give any more explanation than that?

Yeah, basically the reason is because she is 5' 00" tall, therefore she sits really close to the steering wheel. She needed a car that had a telescopic steering column so that her stomach wasn't hugging the wheel. I met his wife too and she was literally 5' tall, so the reason seems valid.

haha, no. They are from South San Francisco. The husband works at a bmw dealership and she works somewhere by Great America. They were great people to talk with. Very honest and down to earth, unlike most of the people in the bay area.

Haha, yeah, big generalization, but for the most part it has alot of truth. If you ever visit the bay area you'll notice the rude and unfriendly attitude that most of the people give off. I guess I've been spoiled with living in a small town for college where people are nice for the most part.

Welcome to the STi club! Very fun cars.....even more so on the dirt! I was driving a Saturn VUE before I got my STi, (had to do my time to get my credit up to snuff) so that upgrade was like night and day. Have fun!

Congrats on upgrading to the STi!!! *so jealous!*

The preggie woman probably got rid of it because 1) when your preggie you want to be as comfortable as possible (m3 interior pwns!). 2) Excess speeds from a spooled turbo will induce labor prematurely.
