    Vw<wrx

    Well, it's time to move on. I currently own a '96 jetta trek, and have owned it for 4 years. I can't stand all the reliability issues I have had So I am very seriously considering buying my dad's '03 wrx wagon. Any things I should know about before buying it? I know with most vws there is a list of things that will go wrong. Thanks in advance guys!

    welcome the 03 wrx wagon shouldn't have any problems with it unless your father beat the hell out of it, but i doubt it, good luck with it Subaru's are very reliable

    If anything, my dad doesn't drive it hard enough...Not sure the thing sees above 3k unless i'm driving

    Because these items are of no use. If you really want a BOV for that sound, you should look into getting a HYBRID, other wise, it will just make your car run rich. You should just do a quick little search, there are a lot of posts about CAI and BOV and what people think about them and the reasons why.

    im also new to the club and also sold my vw for a 02 wrx. i have to say that i do miss things about the vw but i get in to the wrx.......i dont care anymore.

    i too went from a VW to a WRX, however, i had ZERO reliability issues with mine. it was a 2000 Passat 1.8T and it just hit 73k before i got the wrx. the car never let me down, and all i ever did was regularly scheduled maintenance ( aside from two car accidents, but thats beside the point )

    so im gonna have to say thats not necessarily true that VW is unreliable. in fact i was almost totally set to get the new GTI, but i backed out at the last minute and looked for WRXs again.

    i do miss some things such as interior quality and comfort, however, the performance completely shatters all of that and i couldnt care less . ignorance is bliss

    My wife drives an '03 Passat glx. We usually take it if we are going out. It's just a little more plush...leather, wood grain, heated seats, auto...all that crap.

    It's a nice change from hot-roding the WRX all week
