I would like to do some mods...maybe start with a cold air intake, but I'm not sure what requires a tune after and what doesn't. I've done some reading, but it gets confusing. I also don't want to void the warranty.
    Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks!

CEH, congratulations on your great looking WRX.

And between now and your actually starting an air intake or whatever other powertrain mod, please take your time and keep reading. Been reading and reading for many months, and caution on an air intake without a tune.

Like being a virgin, you can loose your motor warranty on just the first time. When in doubt, especially as you admit your are still confused, please hesitate.... When you are absolutely sure, then is the time to proceed.

Big congrats! I have your twin.

Most mods on this car need a tune which Subaru can see if you have an issue in the future and can deny a repair due to it. Just FYI. I also want an intake "for the sound" and a stage 1 tune to make her drive better but I constantly hesitate due to warranty. As they say "gotta pay to play" well I can't pay for a new motor or trans if I mess one up lol.

Awesome on the twin and I agree totally on the warranty issue...that is probably my biggest hesitation. Thanks. I guess I'll stick to appearance mods for now.
