Amazing. Well it hurts that you have such a bad record and you are very young (and presumably not married). It will get better.

    I insured a 2008 MazdaSpeed3, 2003 WRX, 2015 STi and 2005 Buell XB12 for $119 a month...

that's not horrible for MA considering your record. When I was living up there I had my awesome 91 accord and the insurance was high. Even in NJ its high compared to the rest of the country. Its what happens when we live in the awesome north east.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I'm dying at work right now hoping the dealership gets everything done. He said if I called the insurance company early they could have the car ready today since they give me a sticker, register the car, and put on plates all at the dealership. Let's hope they stay true to their word! My stomach is in my throat!

Being married is probably the largest factor. My rates did go down when I turned 25, but being married had the largest impact.
We pay about $100 a month for a 2011 Insight, and my 2007 Outback.

As for my the OP's quote from Progressive, my brother (22, not married) experienced the same thing with them. He has a totally clean record and no accidents, but was still getting $500+/month quotes from pretty much everyone. Progressive quoted him around $180/month.

Josh, call GEICO, even cheaper. I dropped Progressive because of the high price. Wouldn't hurt to get a quote online and BUY! Congrats on the new car! Love the color!!!

Thanks! A ten minute drive and I already got so many looks and mods from other subaru drivers. I think that was the part I missed the most!
