Thumbs up The New Guy With The Old Ride

Hello everyone, I just joined after having my new (old) Subie for a few months.

I have always been a big fan of WRXs and STi's, but the moment didn't line up for me to get one finally until this year. A freak snowstorm caught my previous car (Nissan 370Z) and myself on the way home on summer tires, and into a telephone pole we went. I was unscathed but the car was totaled. So I began the search for the Subie of my dreams, and found one! A 2002 WRX in World Rally Blue (The best color by far, no offense to the rest, but WRB is the best )

A bit about myself, former Air Force member who separated and now attending college. I also work for the Campus Security office as a night dispatcher. I'm seeking a degree in History and Political Science.

I'm looking forward to meeting the people on here, and hopefully some locals to meet up with and go on cruises.

Anything else you wanna know, just ask!

Yeah it definitely looks good from a distance. The dealership told me it was "the cleanest one they'd ever seen..." :|

Well, upon closer inspection it's got dents, holes in the CC, scratches in some spots, and obviously the front/rear bumpers have been removed/re-installed... poorly. And the passenger side rear fender/door has had some body work/paint done, again... poorly. So it will be a nice long recuperation period for the body. But other then that, it's mechanically sound and that's what was important.

I'll make a build thread soon that will have more pics and plans for the build. I'm looking forward to meeting the people and learning from the forum.

Welcome! I spy a minor amount of curb rash on the left front and that is IT. Which is saying a lot for a 12 year old car. Looks very nice from that picture.

Congrats and glad you are ok from that accident.

Thanks! The wheels have some scrapes but are generally in good shape. If my current winters can't fit with 5x114 adapters, I'll convert them into winter wheels.
