    It's the little things

So, 2 weeks in to '15 wrx ownership and I'm having a complete ball breaking in the car on mountain roads, you know so I can vary my speeds a lot and break it it properly

But today I was reminded of the little joys in owning fast cars (coming from years of econoboxes). Pulled up to the light tailed by some random jerk wad in a lifted pickup driving aggressively. Other side of the light was the highway entrance where the 2 lanes of the street merge into one. He pulls up next to me so he can continue his aggressive driving and fly ahead of me onto the highway. Light turns green and I don't floor it or go beyond 4000 rpm, he floors it, I leave him 100 yards behind me by the time I'm on the highway. Love it. You could say I was being a bit of a jerk myself, but it was totally worth it.

I ordered a Base because my vision for this car is a stripped as possible fun cart. But the brake assist was a total surprise. I love it. My evenings are devoid of the usual stress incurred by hunting around looking for a parking spot within the stupid steep hilly neighborhoods of San Francisco.
