    New Iowa Boy

New to the forum and new to owning a Subaru! Just got my 2005 WRX in May. Picked it up off a wholesale row at the dealership I work at. It's got 173K on it and I've been babying it a lot for some reason. It had an exhaust when I got it otherwise looks pretty much stock.

I've mostly done small things to it thus far, such as, Refinished the headlights, replaced gauge lights with LED (need to re-do with better ones) and a full interior detail.
Oh and I put Thule cross bars on in hope to get some rack action going for biking/snowboarding!

I hope to put wheels and tires on soon, but mostly just want to make sure it's mechanically sound before I get to crazy

    Thoughts, ideas, and feedback welcome
    Thanks

    hi welcome

first thing you should do is check to see if the uppipe has been replaced with a catless one. if not, that should be a priority

As an Iowan I say it is kind of nice to know there are few more with WRX's around.
A cold air kit is another must in my book. Then look into tuning. They have some nice information on the tuning and electronic management board.

Thank you! I've done some reading and got that in my mind. I should probably look into if there are writeups on how to check the up-pipe because I don't want any of that business agreed.
