Hello there clubwrx community.
I am new member to this forum. I have spent my fair share of time reading many threads for when i was planning on buying a 2014 STI. I am sure i am going to have many questions regardless. I have been an WRX/STI enthusiast since my dealer handed me the wrx brochure back in late 2001. Since then it has been my dream to own this car and well now its coming true. Due to budget and use of the car, i settled for a WRX and it is a perfect fit for now, haha.
Last Monday i order a 2015 WRX limited IMS. I test drove it the week before and wow what an improvement over the previous gen, minus the no hatch option. Plans for now is just mudflaps, front plate relocation kit, and a new radar detector (cant decide between Beltronics STI Magnum or Escort Redline).
Previous rides: 2004 Ford Exploder, 1991 Mustang 5.0, 2002 Impreza OBS (with mods), 2004 Acura TL, and I currently drive a 2012 Jeep Liberty (POS).
One thing my stealership told me was that very soon Japanese built WRXs and STIs will be unavailable due to the opening of the 660 million $ assembly factory that is being finished up in Indiana. So no more shipments of WRXs or STIs from Japan as of late summer or so. I was wondering if this is true.
Anyhow, i am excited to join the community. Lots of helpful information already read and many WRX/STIs that i have seen look awesome on every level.
