Safe to say the "keyless remote start" doesnt work with manual?

I'm definitely going for Limited Edition WRX

Keyless start does not work for the manual according to what I've been told. It's only an option for CVTs with the Push Button Start.

How would it? Need to press the clutch to Start the car. However, a company in Miami made a system for the 2011-2014 wrx/ sti. I am really interested in it.

    Thank you for posting videos!

It is possible to install a remote start on a manual vehicle, however most companies refuse to do so because you have to remember to park the car in neutral or bad things could happen...

Does anyone NOT park the car in neutral?!?!?

I don't think in 13 years of driving stick I have ever parked in anything but neutral. MY father is the only one who parks it with gear in first as he learned that way before that thing called a parking brake

Id love it if Subaru built a keyless start system for manual.....

You should always park a manual car in gear. Parking brakes fail a lot easier than the transmission.

Everyone SHOULD leave their manual transmission car in gear. I actually quite frequently forget to put my wife's FXT in park before trying to remove the key... Duh CVT goes in park, manual stays in gear.

The manual for my 2014 WRX (yes, I read these sorts of things ) specifically states to park in 1st or reverse.

I quickly did research and theres no right or wrong combination.

The only wrong combo is parking it in neutral with no parking brake lol

I fall in the camp that would rather not put any stress on the transmission parking it in gear (not that it stresses it to park in gear)....I guess to each their own on this one....upon really delving deep into my memory banks its possible I parked it in gear with parking brake 1-2x on a very steep hill when I lived in Boston....

I always park in 3rd gear.

If you don't, you should start. Once a parking brake shoe starts losing grip, the car will keep rolling. Park the car in gear on a hill with the wheels turned to the curb. Is the parking brake likely to start slipping? No. But it's worth the safety margin.

I have a manual transmission '07 WRX and I have a Viper Remote start. I can leave the vehicle in gear and attempt to start the car and it won't start. Neutral safety my buddy who installed it setup. We tested it with me in the car and him trying to start it with the car in gear. It wouldn't start until it was in neutral.

I always leave my car in neutral during winter months unless I'm on a hill so that it will be warm for me

Most places that install remote starts either don't know how to do it that way or aren't allowed to do it that way.
