Yeah the iPhone can't really pick up the exhaust. I'll try to use my other camera when I get a chance.

17 day wait wasn't that bad. I thought it was going to be longer for people.

I've heard from others that they feel the stock exhaust is really quiet unless you have the windows down or you're accelerating hard. With the STi exhaust, you pretty much hear it all the time whether windows are up or down. That's not necessarily a bad thing since the exhaust is deep and doesn't drone. The only minor complaint is coming from my wife since she thinks our baby on the way is not going to like the added noise. I've tried to convince her that he will think it's soothing white noise

You're actually right about the noise. You'll find that it'll put your kids to sleep. Plus if it had it from the start, the baby won't know a difference. Nothing wakes a newborn anyways lol

Congrats, I'll be finishing up some loan paperwork for the remainder of my balance by mid next week. Does this recall affect all 2015 WRX's? Is this something the dealer will rectify or is there another way to go about it?

The recall only affected '15 WRX and STi models with the optional upgraded STi (SPT) Catback exhaust. There apparently was some possible weld issues is what I heard. All stock exhausts had no such recall issues.

Much to my wife's dismay, her E30 was sold awhile back since it was getting expensive to maintain.

Thanks! The wife and I have actually been scrambling for who gets to drive the WRX. The Cayenne GTS may have 420 hp...but the light weight & low RPM turbo power of the Subie really makes it so much easier to drive fast

Based on YouTube requests, I just uploaded a longer video of the new Rex. Even though I used a different camera for the video, I don't know if it picks up the exhaust sound much better:
