I have a CVT. It is pretty nice. Compared to Audi and Nissans current CVT, which I have driven firsthand, the Sub is way better. I suspect extra power will be a tricky thing to manage; I remember Audi guys had problems with CVT, even without mods, especially with the diesel models.

The CVT adds 56 lbs compared to manual in WRX. For comparison, the ZF 8 speed adds 40 lbs compared to manual on the 228i.

I understand the center diff is different on the CVT WRX as compared to the manual one.

I drove both and in some aspects the CVT felt faster in my opinion (while in sport sharp mode). Sure the stick was fun but when we got caught in traffic it was a bit tedious. Im thinking my old bones wont be able to handle using a clutch in traffic all day lol.

I think the only thing i would ever do is a DP and exhaust so i get get a meaner sounding exhaust. Might do i light tune on it as well. Nothing too major.

I have noticed Scions coming out of the word works thinking they stand a chance if they raced me. Not sure why that is and its getting more than slightly annoying.

I am moving to Philly in a month and a half, and this was a MAJOR concern for me too haha.
