Nice. I used to have an 09 8thgen Si. I spent a lot of time on 8thcivic.com, which is a really good forum. The Hondas are fun, but they don't take to mods nearly as easily as the WRX and WRX STi. I did really like my 8thgen. It was a very quality built car. I told my wife if Honda ever decides to turbo charge the Si, we're getting another one for my next car. What have you done to yours?

Here was my 09. I bought it new on Halloween 2008:
Injen Intake, HKS Exhaust, HFP Shocks/Springs, HFP Wheels, Tint, Tires

I had a ctsc 08 fg2 making 320whp that car was mad fun. And I would agree to keep modding the si and keeping the wrx stock. Yea the wrx makes more power with less money but my si would have rapped a stage 2 wrx. And honda motors don't blow up like the subaru motors do.

On the VW forum there's a guy who works for Honda. Not as in at a dealership and he's all like "well one of the techs said he heard from so-and-so that the '15 wrx will have laser guns," but actually works in Honda in a position where he knows what's coming down the pike.

He can't say any details, but keeps assuring everyone that Honda is finally getting back to making a game-changing car in the performance compact segment, due probably in a couple years. Pretty sure I remember him talking about turbos.

Do you want to keep the engine\exhaust as OEM as possible or the entire car? I dont know of many SPT parts you would option to add on. exhaust heat shield battery tie down. But if you want to keep the engine oem and you do get the urge to modify go with suspension upgrades. good luck with the car
