    which dictionary are you using? merriam webster begs to differ

    "indecipherable" is used as a secondary definition... which in itself means "impossible to read or understand."

    or, to break down the word, look to the definition of legible, and you will find that by adding the prefix "il" (which means "opposite of" or "not") illegible is still synonymous with something that is not understood... not necessarily because of hand writing.

    Well since we are posting by typing, and nothing is presented in glyphs or wingdings, nothing needs to be deciphered. So yeah, you're still wrong.

    you know there is usually more than one definition for a word; you don't need to stop reading just because you saw the first one and it fits your argument.

    keep reading. there are other definitions of these words with which you are being literal to a fault.
