so, unless you are in complete love with this car... I was thinking.

Were you aware of all these problems before purchase?
Did you sign a bill of sale? What did it say?
It's illegal to sell a vehicle unable to pass emissions, and if the bank knew the odometer was not functional they would have a sht fit.

I honestly think you have a case to get your money back for the car, and get something else... if you wanted.

This makes perfect sense.. with all that's wrong with the car its gonna need A LOT of work and A LOT of money. I wouldn't be surprised if the frame had damage to it, looks like its been in a wreck or two. To get this restored its going to take at least 10k.

I mean some of that stuff there's no way I could've known ahead of time. Everything happens for a reason. I ain't even mad. It'll be a great car soon enough. One day at a timev

And we went through our credit union. They carfax it and such. We signed a bunch of paperwork and whatnot. I mean I could try to take the guy to court and all, but in the end that would be more of a headache then learning on this car and working on it and getting the satisfaction of making it look nice. Subaru didn't say anything about frame damage when they inspected it.

Hm, so you're gonna start a build thread? If you're serious about this we'd love to see the progress of it just keep in mind its a lot of work for a project car but is well worth it. If the money doesn't concern you to get this thing looking super sexy then I applaud you for wanting to restore a classic wrx.

fully agree, itll be worth your time when you get your money back and can purchase a used slightly higher mileage vehicle (who knows your current mileage..) that will run great and not require nearllyyyy as much as this big project does. 69348765

+1, if you do decide to keep it we are defintely going to want a repair thread on this to hopefully see a nice widebody wagon out of this thing. it has potential if you have the cash.

Well I'll def start a thread once I get things going lol
And my credit union denied me getting a newer car by two Years because of the mileage on it. So the mileage on this car is the only reason I was able to get a wrx. They said maybe to try to get an 09 or higher but that was out of my price range straight up so I have what I have and will give it some love
