Cool just wondering, can you take a Automotive Tech 1 class at your local CC? Might help solidify the basics.

I could always take an online course. Watch the videos and whatnot. It won't be hands on. But the best I can do atm. Gcc says their classes run 7:30-12:30 and that don't fly with my work sched cuz I can work any day of the week.

I'd stay away from that online college, most of those are scams. 4th semester is free? What? Lol no real reputable college offers deals like that. Wal-mart College.

Plus, half of this would be to gain hands on experience. What do you do for work right now?

I'm a third party promoting company. So I go into sams clubs and costcos and promote products. My days off vary. Uti might offer night classes but it will probably be expensive. My dad and friends know how to work on cars and my wife's old coworker is a mechanic and he wants to help too so I'll have people who know how to work on things willing to help me out

They'll be invaluable with the build too. But what about the days they won't be there? Got to know this stuff for yourself you know? But like I said, plan for the next semester. Fall semester. Until then, this forum, YouTube and Google will be your best bet.

I have one already, working on 2 at the moment. One in in Computer Networking, other as in Automotive Technology. Second one is more of a hangout place where I work on my cars. A lot of my friends are taking classes too.

When all is said and done, I'll have 4. Hopefully it all pays off haha. If I lose a job I'll always have a field to fall back on.
