Well no. I'm talking about buying a used speedo, and just installing it yourself without help with preserving the correct mileage. What you did is what the dealership does, except Chevy wanted 475$ to do my GTO.
The tamper code being thrown was common knowledge on American cars, I assumed the same of all cars, or else why not just swap the cluster out when u trade in.

What's going on with it? Just not giving you a speed or is the whole cluster dead?

Everything but the speedometer and the odometer are working. The tach and fuel gauge work fine

Google shows that seems to be a common problem for my car. How hard of a fix is it?

The speedometer sensor would have nothing to do with your ABS system. The link you posted is for an ABS wheel speed sensor, one of which is located at each wheel, and is used by the ABS system to detect locked wheels.

You need a vehicle speed sensor, like this one: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...7_0_20285_3498

Oh ok sweet! Thanks I'm gonna order the 8 volume repair shop manual. I have the service manual but since I'm sticking to this as my last car I bet it'll be invaluable to me.
