    Is this a legit trade for my first wrx???

    Hey everyone, I'm about to pull the trigger on a trade for a wrx, and i'd like to know if the mods list and all makes sense, I do not know much of anythign about htese cars yet. So I figured I would check here with you guys and see what you thought.

    ok first my truck.

    2007 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab LE
    128k miles
    Leather dual power heated seats,
    heated mirrors
    premium sound rockford fosgate factory upgrade
    bed liner, utility track bed
    roof rack,
    side steps .
    fully loaded except 4wd.
    kbb private party is $13,800 and my truck is perfect, no issues

    His trade is a 2002 wrx with hawkeye front and rear conversion
    5 speed trans 120k on body, new ej25 shortblock installed by suburu a year ago PLUS $2500 Cash

    Does these mods seem right? He also has a receipt from a suburu dealer for the sti shortblock, Is this a good trade in your minds?

    Not really...It's way too many mods for me to even consider it. But I, along with most others on here, would much rather have an un-modified and fully documented vehicle. I couldn't even really value something like that...sure there are lots of fancy parts and stuff, but I would never consider it as an option.

    If this will be your only car and your daily driver then absolutely not lol. It's just too sketch for me.

    Walk away. Mods don't increase the value. '02 wrx kbb value is appx 7k-8k. With those figures, he should give you the car+5k for your truck.

    I had an'05 frontier..loved it.. Would definitely get another if i was in the market for a truck.

    Yeah as stated above, try to find a car thats more on the stock side. You are going to want to do mods your own way once the mod bug hits you anyways.

    Keep the truck. You're going from a solid reliable truck to a modified crap-shoot. Wouldn't even consider it if it were a straight trade.

    Of course, another option is to trade it in/privately sell it and use the equity towards a new WRX.
