Traded my 5.0 for a WRX

I purchased my silver 2014 4DR WRX 12 days ago now and I love everything but the stereo, but have been under some ridicule from friends for trading my black 2013 Mustang GT to get a "mom car".Click image for larger version.

Congrats the 5.0 mustang was my other choice but the weather in NJ would not allow that you just gotta show your friends what the WRX is made of

Welcome and congrats! Haha "mom car." Pretty silly, to not know what the wrx is or what it can do (or not care.) Most of the regulars here are just plain "car guys," and will give props where props are due regardless of who makes a car.

This won't magically make it into a good stereo, but it will help a good bit:

Let me google that for you

Not really mustang owners, just stereotypical hillbilly v8 guys. I liked the Mustang while I had it for about 5 months, but just didn't feel like I should be racking up miles on it (I'm guessing my head was messing with me thinking that I should garage keep the car for 20-40 years without driving it). The mustang is a fast/fun/beautiful car for sure, but I've had more fun in 2 weeks with the WRX than I had in the Mustang in 5 months. The Mustang "community" didn't feel like a true car enthusiast community to me. The WRX reminds me of my just out of high school days when I had a 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T but waaay more reliable.

Welcome. I want to like mustangs, but everyone seems to have one and they can't carry 3 friends, hiking gear, and bikes, and then afterwards go race rallycross. I like the practicality and dirt too much to get a mustang. My "muscle" car is an old chevy truck that hauls things.
