    First subie!

    Hellooo!

I've had my baby for almost two years now, she's a 2012 blue wrx. Had to wait over sixteen weeks for her but she was well worth it! I'm exciting to start mods. I was thinking intake and exhaust for now. From the pictures, you can see that I plasti dipped my wheels gold. Also looking for a heavier shift knob. I got the Cobb one, only to find out that the stock was much heavier. Almost two years and I'm still fishbowlin' haha. Also, the dip I got on my tires is now off, it was just one of the few I had.

Welcome, I like the gold wheels! Remember if you get an intake you'll need a tune

    Thanks!

Would intake really be worth it? I know that it doesn't give me too much. I guess I'm just looking for a mod that's not going to cost an arm and a leg right now lol. My other thought was the Cobb AP. I know it's a little more expensive, but I've heard nothing but good reviews about it and I think it might be worth it in the long run over the intake. If I did go with the AP, I would still need a tune, right?

    Thanks for the help

Welcome! The stock knob is actually pretty heavy 490g but I hated the shape of it and went with the STI 5spd duracon knob not weighted but with my Kartboy short throw it makes shifts so much nicer definitely a better investment than an intake especially since you will need an AP.

The AP is a tuning device. It comes with pre-loaded "maps" that you can flash your car with that are designed either for a stock car or a car with certain modifications.

An intake on your car without some sort of tune is a bad idea, so if it's one or the other you should get the AP first.
