Former Evo/ Civic SI owner joining the Scuuby doos!

Hey guys! I'm from the San Francisco, CA area. Just picked up a 2014 WRX hatch last a couple nights ago with 4 miles on it. It's a base hatch with a few options: an spt exhaust, sit short shifter, amp/sub, shock sensor, and auto dimming/compass/homelink mirror.

I've gone through a few turbo cars in the past (I'll throw some pics and info down below), and had a lot of fun, but for gas mileage and reliability reasons, I ended up switching to a 2011 Civic SI for a few years. It was pretty painful going from a 400whp Evo to a Civic, but it's served its purpose- it gave me decent gas mileage and was reliable, but it's just wayy too slow. While it handles decently for what is it, it's pretty mind-numbingly boring in the power department... I could supercharge or turbocharge it, it seems like the money to power ratio isn't too great, so... here I am. I'm not looking to go crazy, just do TBE, a tune, and suspension mods. I've ordered weather tech floor mats for the front and back that should be here tomorrow and am looking into shift knobs. Should have my Cobb access port really soon as well... I have a JVC KW NT800HDT double din head unit and boyo backup camera from my Civic that's going to go into the WRX in a couple of weeks.. Also waiting to hear back from the tint shop to do a 40% tint all around.

    SI:

It's pretty much stock. I bought this car specifically because it's fun enough for what it is, but wasn't quite worth dumping money into it to mod, so it was able to give me some fun without burning my wallet up. The only mod I did was a Hondata Flashpro. The main point of that was just to get rid of the godawful rev hang.

    -Hawk HPS brake pads
-Stoptech blank rotors front and rear (pads and rotors have less than 5k on them)

    -Perrin Shorty Antenna

    Pics:

Back when it was on the stock block, the Evo ran 11.4@122 on a 103*F day at Infineon Raceway. I got kicked out of the track after 1 run, since I didn't have a roll cage. I'm sure if I got to stay and got more practice runs and the temps dropped, I could've done a lower 11. I never had a chance to run it with the built stoker motor, but I would imagine it would dip somewhere in the mid/low 10's or so.

    This was my 89 240sx with an R34 Neo6 RB25DET out of an R34 Skyline GT-T.

This is the Evo IX I had before my red Evo VIII you guys saw. It was basically on the stock block w/ a turbo back exhaust, Cosworth 272 cams, FP Green turbo, Ti-valve springs/retainers, ARP headstuds, yadda yadda... most of the stuff is the same as my red Evo, because when this car was rearended and totalled, I swaped a majority of the stuff over. This Evo made 340whp/333wtq on 91 octane on a Mustang Dyno (my stock Evo IX dyno'd at 210whp on this dyno.)

Nice cars. I had a 09 civic Si. It was a great car and fun to drive. Unfortunately, it was just painfully slow.

congrats on being part of the subaru club.
