    My first subaru!!

    Hey everyone,

I just bought a 2011 WRX hatchback, this is my first time every owning a subaru and I can not be happier with everything this car has to offer. I will post some pics in the near future. Should I start off with a Cobb short ram intake? I can't go crazy with mods yet because of my warrant. Thanks all that can give me some good ideas.

Keep in mind if you get an intake you'll also need a tune along with it

Welcome and congrats! I would either go with an intake plus tune or a exhaust =] Its nice to get that exhaust out of the way so you wouldn't have to worry about it in the future because in my opinion its pretty bank for one. But I heard the cobb intake sounds really nice with the tune.

I just had my short shifter installed today, but I don't think it's that awesome of an upgrade. For a guy my size (6ft), the armrest extension would have been a better first choice. Shorter shifts - yes... softer shifts - no... I really have to muscle through 1 and second gear because of the new bushing, and it worried the crap out of me for a bit too. From what I understand, this is normal with the new bushings - or else I was fed a line of crap from the tech.

Either way, I'm new too... but these folks seem to be fond of the accessport by cobb - that's my next move.
