Shorter shifts - yes... softer shifts - no... I really have to muscle through 1 and second gear because of the new bushing, and it worried the crap out of me for a bit too. From what I understand, this is normal with the new bushings - or else I was fed a line of crap from the tech.

Either way, I'm new too... but these folks seem to be fond of the accessport by cobb - that's my next move.
I totallyyyyyyy agree with the damn armrest! its so far back and its so low haha. I just put my hand on the e-brake since i can barley use the armrest. Im 6 feet so its awkward

haha, same here... the manual even says something like "don't rest your hand on the shifter when not in use" so i drive with my hand on the e-brake and alternate with the wheel. i wonder if anyone makes memory foam seats for these things yet?

Doesn't Subaru have their own line of performance parts like Toyota does with TRD? And it won't mess with the warranty since it's genuine Subaru parts

Subaru has SPT parts but not as much as the rest of the aftermarket. as for the warranty someone else who feels like typing out the explanation can do that.

I understand aftermarket parts void the warranty, I just thought Subaru had alot of genuine performance parts, seeing as how the wrx and sti are performance cars.
