    Just got my first Subaru

I picked this 2002 WRX up Sunday. It is in excellent condition. 105,000 miles and just had all the routine maintence done not too long ago. I feel like I made the right choice. It's a blast to drive. I'm coming from a boosted SE-R SpecV but it's about time I moved into something better. I'm really happy with the car. It's 100% bone stock and hasn't been modded. If and when I do mod it I'm gonna do suspension components and full cat-less exhaust (no emissions in my county )

Congrats. I know you said its bone stock and never been modded, but having the stock Upipe can cause issues with the CAT getting sucked into the turbo.

your year should have a catless Upipe. You should check if its catless. I hope it is.

I'll have to check it out. I plan on doing full exhaust in the future.

The up-pipe is between the engine and turbo, it's not exactly part of the exhaust system..
This has a cat in it, that is neither needed nor good. It's a turbo-killer and it's usually replaced by cat-less pipe or gutted to be cat-less...
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

    Welcome from NJ!

Looks incredibly clean and in amazing shape on the surface. Would love some engine bay pics.

Cheaper option is a catless UP off newer models.

Thanks for all the info guys. My first mod will def be a catless up pipe.

What all would be considered top of the line brand names for Subaru?

I want to mod this thing right aka no eBay stuff.

I'm really only familiar with Nissan's and they're bread and butter would be Nismo parts. Does Subaru have a bread and butter part line?

Well before you go out buying one, just make sure you have a catless one, installed

Eh they have a few...lot of quality brands out there. Cobb is a big name with good quality, but pretty expensive. Invidia, Perrin, Whiteline, Prodrive, Kartboy, APS, TiC, are all notable names as well.

    Cool. Thanks for the info.

Are there any preferred websites to order these parts from?
