Subaru owners are so friendly !

I was going to lunch today and was behind an Outback in traffic. Eventually I came up around and the kid must of seen me in the rear view because he was waving like crazy when I was alongside. It was really cool, he was genuinely excited. It was infectious cos I was waving and grinning like an idiot lol.

A few other times I've seen wrx drivers they've waved or flashed a thumbs up.

That never happened with the RX8 I guess RX8 owners aren't so friendly (except me of course).

Ive only had my Rex a week and a half, but every time I see a WRX/STi, they will nod or waive to me. It's like a secret culture lol.

Just to balance out all the warm fuzzy feelings: I don't like you and I hope you leave.

Kidding! Welcome to the Club! Unfortunately the "Subaru wave" seems to be dying out. When I first got my bugeye, everyone waved or flashed fog lights. It was great, but seems to be a dying trend.

I'll start waving to grandmas in outbacks if it comes down to it!

There aren't many wrx's where I live so I only see one every two weeks or so and when we spot each other it's high beams flashing, honking, and halfway out the window waving

I get about a 70% return on the WRX/STi wave. When I was in Burlington, VT (I'm from upstate NY) it was almost 90%!

I'd say a good 75% of WRX/STI owners wave to me. I think there are like 2-3, that I see regularly, who don't wave.

Here in Colorado the behavior seems to be, try to race then wave...

Is it just me or do small children also seem to enjoy our cars immensely? I think it has something to do with Hotwheels...
