Hey new here looking for a WRX

Hello, nice to meet you all! I've been looking for a good wrx for awhile now. I hope you guys don't mind me asking here but I didn't want to make two threads off the bat. So I found thus 13 WRX with little over 1600 miles. Thing is it has flood damage, I talked to a salesman and he said the water got 1 in into the cabin and there is no damage other than the o2 sensor. He assured me that there was no water in the motor or tyranny or differential. Seems like a good deal to me but I really don't know oh and I also asked for pictures of the under carriage to check for rust and asked about what kind of water and how deep/long it was in it. I did get a carfax and it shows it being totaled earlier this year. Should I take my chances? For 20k? Anyway here's a link to the

http://mobile.dealercarsearch.com/Ve...1&DealerId=340 and I'll put up those pics! Thanks!

20k for salvage car that is way too much. You will loose money when you try to sell it. So If I were you I would try to find something else cause you really don't know what happen to the car I wouldn't take no chances.

I dunno but seems to me for 20k you could find a car that hasn't sat in water...

Flooded cars are never a good idea. It may be fine now but if the water was up and into the cabin, then it got into lots of places. Things will start corroding/rusting/etc down the line.

Also this. 20k and a bit of patience will probably get you a pretty new used rex, just make sure it's stock.

I wouldn't pay more than 3k for that car, 20k is a big NO NO.

Definitely would pick the '09 over a sketchy '13. Plus, something tells me that the waterlogged '13's transmission description has a few too many gears. 9 gear slushes are bad enough, to say nothing about a 11808483 speed stick

I'd say that's an engine, alright

Looks clean, though I can't really say much more about it... I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will give their input!

Isn't the 09 different than the other 08+ years. To get good power out of it you need a different turbo?

Thanks for the responses, the car has over fifty thousand miles on it and the carfax shows no major repairs or anything just the regular oil change ect. JF1GE76659G511041 is the Vin if that tells anyone anything
