New to Rexs, so I got an orange one. With a slight malfunction.

My TOP '13 is my first new car, so I figured you guys would be the ones to ask if I had any issues. None so far... except the MPG indicator is broken, and has been from the dealership. The display itself works, but the MPG never displays. Did the whole 5 seconds pressing "+" a few times just to confirm. Any ideas? Or should I just be happy not to see how much gas she goes through? HahahahaClick image for larger version.

Welcome! It should work. I don't use mine, but if it didn't work right when I bought it i would have gone back to the dealer all like "WTF???"

EDIT - you do know that you scroll through the options by pressing your tripometer button correct?

Hahaha I was just so in love with everything else about her (big upgrade from a 2003 MDX) that I only recently attempted to look into the MPG indicator. Could it be a software glitch?

All these SE's coming though making me super jealous!!

While the MPG indicator would be nice to not have malfunctioning, from what I understand they are highly inaccurate. Better off doing your own calculations.

I use the Gas Cubby app on my iPhone.

    EDIT: Also, welcome!

Yeah, I do. The fact that nothing shows up (except when testing the actual display) feels weird. I'll do another cycle and see what develops.

Thanks for the tip! Also, nice black hawkeye, it seems like I always see them in silver or WRB.

As mentioned above, press the tripometer button. It toggles the mpg on and off. Also, that car looks AMAZING!

Hahaha thanks! Again, I think I had cycled the tripometer, although it was a few days ago, it's possible I completely forgot to and thought I did. If that's the case, I'm a doofus.

You can also adjust your rev warning light through that. When the car is in neutral just set the rpm you want it at. Mine is maxed so I don't get that annoying light!

That is an absolutely awesome car, but it has to be the biggest cop magnet I've ever seen. Even more so than a red Mustang. You must have a brother in law enforcement, right?

Hahaha you're telling me. I know some guys in LE, but nothing that would get me out of a bad ticket. It's funny that you bring up a red Mustang, because over the weekend I pulled in behind a crimson GT and an Evo behind a traffic light and one if the new Ford Interceptors that my town's PD has passed by, then immediately turned around and trailed me for a good mile. Would've been an interesting race!
