Thumbs up Just joined the club from SF with 2009 WRX

Hey guys! I've browsed this forum for a while and learned a lot about what you guys have posted on here. I've always been a driving enthusiasts and a die-hard Subaru fan. I've driven a Subaru for the last 6 years. In 2009 I got one step closer to my dream ride (STI), but I'm totally happy with it. I take it up to Tahoe for skiing and snow drifting.

I also own a portable speaker company based out of San Francisco called Boombotix. We make speakers for people that like to push the limits. They're pretty rad for biking, skiing/boarding and just about anything outdoors. I have my whip proudly tatted with the decals as you can see.

The reason I joined this forum is to A)Meet other Subaru enthusiasts that would be down to do some casual slalom/rallycross and B) learn more about turning. Looking forward to being part of THE CLUB.

Also, wanted to mention that Carlsen Subaru in Sacramento has been particularly helpful with getting my parts. They actually sell our Boombotix speakers from the parts shop. I get most my aftermarket parts through them. Would highly recommend those guys.

    Hey Justin,

Just to clarify with you, can I link my website in my signature? Or is that a no-no? As an alternative, would it be ok to just link to a blog post about my whip?

Just want to be clear as I def don't want to be SPAMMING this site and I want to be sure I stay within the confines. I also belong to another ski forum and they are usually ok if I have my company in my signature, but it's very clear on not doing any kind of self promotion.

Haha, I'm not Justin, or even a site admin. I think you're fine, but I wanted to give you a heads up, just in case.

At any rate, welcome, and that light bar is awesome! RallyInnovations, right?

    Welcome!

Nice car! In my future plans I would love to get some legitimate fogs on my car, I hate the stockers on the 3rd gens and didn't even get them. Light bar...eh? How does that get bolted to the car?

@Calvinball, there are 4 bolts on this guy that go direct to the chassis. Should be the same bolts that run through your splash guard. Make sure you get one that goes direct to chassis or else it will be super weak and you can bottom it out and screw up your bumper.

I'd also recommend getting skid plates for front rear if you're going to be doing legit rally. Will save you a cracked oil pan and possibly a rear diff.

Actually that is straight painted on. It ended up being $1500 to paint and $1800 to wrap... so I thought, WHAT THE HELL.

I originally wanted it to be darker gray and they really screwed up on the pantone. The roof has a carbon fiber 3M laminate on it.
