    Bought my First WRX!

2008 WRX (I hear that's a bad year but I'm loving it) 54K on it.

After doing some reading I see my first mod needs to be a carless uppipe. I know NOTHING about these cars. I've had a Montero Sport, a 1999 Trans Am which I put an STS turbo on, a fairly stock 2000 z28, a jeep grand Cherokee, a stock Nissan 350z, and a Jeep Wrangler.

I've read that the 08 tunes are lean so should I get an uppipe followed by a tune? I will be modding SLOWLY so those will be the only two things for a while...

Welcome. Your model already has a catless uppipe so it is not necessary to get another

I guess in that case my first mods will be downpipe back exhaust and a tune. Any suggestions?

Also I am having a very hard time finding somewhere to even get this car dyno tuned in NC. Does anyone out there know of a reputable place around here (NC, SC, GA, TN, VA)?

Also MotionLab is in NC, and TopSpeed is 3.5 hours south.

Turboback and tune is a great place to start. Ive heard great things about TopSpeed in GA but not familiar with any others in the areas you mentioned

Haven't heard much good about MotionLab. Get on your local forums in NASIOC and ask around. Also, talk to other tuners. Like a close knit community, many of them know each other and they will generally know who's better and who's not, who's new and who's built a reputation.

Where I live people like, Fastech in Knoxville, Boxer 4 Racing in NC, and Topseed in ATL.

Ask around locally and get in contact with shops and see who will meet your needs the best.
