New Plasma Blue Pearl 5door owner from Colorado

Just got my car in April and have been loving it. Cruising all over the twisty mountain roads here in Colorado. Haven't done much to it yet except debadging and black wheels. I will be getting some rally armor flaps soon and 15% tint. I am debating putting some spacers on with the stock wheels. Can anyone tell me the proper size or maybe point me in the right direction in the forum.

It is dirty i know, my tree decided to dump pollen all over it last night.

Oh yeah, more CO people! Dig around the Suspension and Wheel forum, bound to be some info in there on the 11'+ wheel spacer setups to get you a little more flush.

Sway bars, bushings, stage 2 it, the drop it....in my opinion of course!! Nice work on the new rig, drive it like you stole it!

    Cheers

Welcome. I also just picked up a brand new 5door in April. Glad to see another person from the front range.

I have heard many go either way on spacers. Why do you recommend to stay away from them? is it performance, safety, or just personal preference based?

Well seeing as it has WRX wheels on it, and the WRX/STi use different hubs I guess that must make it a WRX.

Well maybe I wouldn't have to point out obvious stuff if either you were smarter, or a better troll.

FYI we're all taking bets to see how long you last here.

    Welcome

Spacers aren't really a good idea, from a performance standpoint. It puts additional strain on the hubs, and doesn't help handling any.

It is just a WRX lol. I do think I will stay away from them. I used to have a BMW 335i e92 and I decided to avoid them on that for the same reason. Would a wheel that is an 18x8 +45 have a similar fitment. That would be like running 10mm spacers.. Correct? Are stock wheels +53?

Thanks for all the comments and banter. Its awesome.
