    New NW WRX owner

Hi everyone! Just bought myself a 2013 base WRX yesterday and man do I love it! I have been a fan of WRX's for quite some time and have owned 3 other Subarus in the past but finally got my chance to have a little fun
Also bought the wife a new Outback the same day lol

I am new to the world of boost so forgive me if I ask too many noob questions.

From what I have researched so far, I think the Cobb Accessport will be my first mod. After that I will focus on wheels & suspension then back to performance. That should give me some time to do more reading/research so I can make more informed decisions on performance parts. Oh I will be tinkering with my headlights off an on throughout that time frame too, I am fairly experienced with headlight modding and have opened up several WRX headlights in the past.

Here is a quick pic of my new WRX and the wifes new Outback.

Welcome and congrats. I would differ on your first mod though. True, the Cobb AP adds some nice power and smooths out the powerband. However, I would recommend some suspension/drivetrain mods. My first mod was the Kartboy short shifter and bushings upgrade and I haven't been disappointed. No more missed shifts or grinding gears. Next, I plan on upgrading the front and rear swaybars with Whiteline units. What good is power if you can't put it to the ground properly?

Yeah I am very new to the world of boost and power for that matter lol, all of my previous cars were mainly chosen for their good mpgs, this one is my first venture into the world of real performance mods so I am open to ideas.
One thing that I would like to change is the way the car rocks back when the boost kicks in, I can barely see over the hood when this happens lol, I figured I would look into some decent lowering springs to stiffen up the rear suspension to help correct this. Your thoughts?

Oh and I forgot to mention that I already have a short shifter (dealer installed) may not be the best but I really don't feel like swapping that out right now ya know?

Haha, yeah I am trying not to rod it too hard during the break in period but when I have gotten on it, that is what it was like lol. I just took a co worker for a quick ride and he commented on not being able to see over the hood, I said just wait til the turbo kicks in. Needless to say, he was very impressed by the quickness of the Rex even though I only went up to 60mph and never went over 6k rpms lol
